Co-Founder and Partner - Modjule, LLC

A native of and life-long resident of the Chicago area, Gordon is an entrepreneur, operator and investor.  He is currently a co-founder and Partner of Modjule, LLC, a private investment firm he co-founded with Gregg Kaplan, the founder of Redbox, focused on investing in businesses in the multi-unit retail segment. Modjule has 4 portfolio companies including Hickory Farms. Gordon is also one of the five co-owners and CFO of AKIRA, a leading fast fashion retailer, the Founder and President of Cal-Snax International, a healthy snacks company that created and sells Kale Poppers, and Co-Founder & Partner of 4C Capital, a private investment firm focused on the healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Gordon is also the President of the Goodman Theater's Auxiliary Board, Co-Founder and Vice Chair of AAAIM, the Association of Asian American Investment Managers and sits on several private company boards.

Prior to his current entrepreneurial activities, Gordon was a Principal with Baird Capital, a Private Equity fund, where he co-led the firm's Consumer investments. While at Baird, Gordon concurrently led business development and worked closely with Baird's China fund. Prior to Baird, Gordon held Principal and Associate roles with Chicago Private Equity funds Reliant Equity and Wind Point Partners.

Gordon received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Toigo Fellow and the Founder of the Asian American Business Association, and his BS from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with Highest Honors and as a recipient of the Bronze Tablet.

Gordon's core mission in life is focused on lifting up underserved communities, with an emphasis on economic wealth creation and the enhancement of self-esteem through the performing arts. He is a published author and featured speaker on the Glass Ceiling with respect to the Asian Pacific American community, diversity in the alternative asset industry, and is also a published poet, produced playwright, spoken word artist and wedding singer.
