President Brenda Chia
AAAIM

As President of AAAIM, Ms. Chia oversees the strategic direction, annual program and fundraising for the organization. Ms. Chia helped found AAAIM in order to promote access to capital opportunities for Asian American fund managers. She also works with emerging funds and firms, helping them craft their investment strategies, fundraise and evaluate investments.
Prior to founding AAAIM, Ms Chia worked with technology start-ups in the Boston area. She developed the initial strategy and market approach to commercialize a proprietary technology for reconfigurable computing developed at MIT. The company was funded by a several top venture capital funds and sold in 2000 for over $1 billion.
Ms Chia worked with The Boston Consulting Group in Boston and Singapore, developing and executing business, marketing and operational strategies for emerging and established U.S. and international companies. She has traveled extensively through Asia and the U.S while on assignment.
She holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in Computer Science with First Class Honors from the National University of Singapore. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa Indonesia.
