Baird Capital Partners Asia ("BCPA") is a China-centric private equity fund focusing on making growth equity investments in the lower-end of the middle market in sectors where Baird has investment experience, operating talent and domain knowledge. Focus sectors are manufacturing, business services and healthcare. BCPA is part Baird Private Equity ("BPE"), the global private equity platform of Robert W. Baird. BPE has raised and managed approximately $2.6 billion in capital and invested in over 235 companies since the 1980s. BCPA's investment strategy is to leverage BPE's global resources, sector knowledge and experience, combined with the Asia team's local knowledge and investment experience to work with smaller, high growth companies in China to drive value creation. Baird Asia Advisors Limited, a Hong Kong limited company ("BAAL") is the sub-advisor to BCPA, with a representative office in Shanghai.
The Senior Analyst will work closely with partners and vice president and be given high levels of responsibility. As such, the Senior Analyst will participate in all aspects of the investment advisory process, including sourcing, evaluating, due diligence, structuring, monitoring, and exiting investments. The work will include in-depth financial modeling, valuation analysis, writing internal memoranda, and working with senior members of the investment team on other aspects of the investment process. Candidates should have strong academic and professional experience and be able to contribute to a collaborative and constructive work environment. Candidates should also be highly motivated and have strong analytical and communication skills, ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. This position is based in Shanghai.
Requirements include: Undergraduate degree, at least two years of investment banking or comparable professional experience, native Mandarin speaker that can also read and write Chinese and strong verbal and written English skills.
An MBA, prior private equity experience and work experience beyond the investment banking analyst program is preferred but not required.
