Bank of America Capital Access Funds (BACAF) manages privately-offered funds-of-funds focused on private equity investing in emerging and underserved U.S. markets. Due largely to demographic shifts in the nation's population, BACAF believes that some of the best private equity investment opportunities in the small- to middle-market business sectors are in traditionally overlooked or underserved markets, including:
  • Companies that are located in or employ residents of low-to moderate-income geographies
  • Companies that are owned or managed by ethnic minorities or women
  • Companies that serve an ethnically diverse customer base
  • Companies that are based in urban or rural areas with limited access to investment capital
  • Private equity funds that are managed by diverse professionals
