Parish Capital believes that the best opportunity to continue to generate the premiums that have historically been earned in private equity is to invest in smaller managers with deep knowledge and unique insights who manage relatively smaller pools of capital. We believe that experienced, small and niche-focused ("ESN") managers will outperform in the buyout and venture capital markets because of their narrower focus and expertise and their ability to take advantage of price and market inefficiencies in their segment. Pursuit of this investment strategy requires significant time and resources, and many institutional investors lack access to these funds due to limited staff, lack of familiarity with non-traditional deal flow and referral sources, and their own commitment constraints.
