Credit Suisse Customized Fund Investment Group

The Credit Suisse Customized Fund Investment Group ("CFIG") was founded by Michael Arpey and Kelly Williams in 1999 to provide customized private equity separate account management services to institutional clients, and has since grown to become one of the largest private equity fund of funds managers in the world. CFIG currently manages approximately $23 billion in client commitments for institutional investors in the US, Europe and Asia, and has made underlying commitments to more than 366 funds and 69 co-investments on behalf of the group's 55 separate accounts and 22 commingled funds. In addition to its New York headquarters, CFIG maintains offices in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Portland.

CFIG's programs are distinguished by a unique level of customization unavailable to clients of large, commingled products, and rarely offered by groups within a premier, global bank. The group specializes in developing investment programs for sophisticated, active investors who have a specific portfolio need to complement their current private equity holdings and for emerging investors who need assistance with asset allocation, portfolio development and administration, due diligence, and other advisory services, or any combination thereof. Once established, CFIG takes a service-oriented, long-term partnership approach to its customized accounts. CFIG's customized programs range from broadly diversified programs to niche programs either solely or partially targeting specific areas of investment such as co-investments, seasoned primaries, buyouts, venture capital/growth equity, distressed debt, mezzanine finance, cleantech, infrastructure, small and emerging managers, emerging domestic managers, real estate and regionally-targeted investments.
