Jim has wide-ranging experience as an entrepreneur, corporate executive, government official and nonprofit advocate. He has spent many years supporting issues around AAPI empowerment, consumer protection and leadership development. Jim currently serves on various national boards including Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), Leaders Forum (LF), and Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS).
Jim brings extensive corporate and business experience to AAAIM. He has successfully launched and operated several companies including the Mortgage Collaborative and New Vista Asset Management, and served as an executive at Freddie Mac. Additionally, Jim has significant experience in Washington, DC, as an advocate for issues affecting AAPI community. His work in DC included serving as a political appointee at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and chairing the Federal Reserve's Consumer Advisory Council.
Jim holds a B.S. from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Public Policy and Administration from the George Washington University.
